Statement of Intent

Introduction

Horror film title: 7 minutes of hell .

Tagline: the clock that always stops. or ticktock went the clock

Logline:

Friends visiting an abandoned house playing haunted games.Turned into  killer coming back from the dead, to seek blood for anyone who steps into his property.

Media language

I intend to create a website that will inform and tease the audience with little hints like a small trailer and some of the images to entertain the audience . the first page will contain the movie poster and all of the main charter and tagline .It will also show the awards the the film has received. The next page will be the trailer it will also contain our social Media platform for more information about the movie. The third page will be the screening page so the audience when to book the tickets. The final page will be the interview with the director and behind the scenes  for the people who are into independent movies which will be most of the audience. The title which will be a bloody clock with the title of the movie written across it with a blood red font.

Photography plan

I will use mise-en-scene to signify my horror genre

i plan to take my photos with props like a door, axe ,a clock and a broken mirror and the location is in an abandoned park. i will use the clock to signify the time the victims have to live. The axe and door signify the the murder weapon . my lighting will be in a dark to reinforce the horror genre.

Branding/typography

  • my film will have San serif font to show the audience that they are a new and more modern film companies .the colour scheme will mostly be black white and red to reinforce on the horror genre. the black symbolise death and evil of the killer . the white will symbolise the purity of the kids and the red will symbolise the blood of the victims

  • I will also use the Grunt Reaper Font.

  • i will use this font as it is bloody red so my audience will know it's a horror film as of the blood.

Media representations

I plan to reinforce/subvert stereotypes.

Did things that I will reinforce are The Car Never Starts as it will make the movie more scary. .Bad Cell phone Reception (as they are in the middle of nowhere.)The Dark Basement (they all try to run away / or hide from the killer.)Did stereotypes I will subvert are all white actors and i will do this by adding more BLME  actors to make it more diverse .The Black Guy Always Dies first and   I will subvert "the black guy always dies first" and i will do this by making the black actor a hero instead of him/her being a victim.

Target audience

I will target fans of independent cinema (films) by horror films I aim to target both genders in the working-class to middle-class audiences between ages 15 - 29.As the movie is very gruesome and it is also a bit of a thriller.

4) Write down any existing horror films that are similar to yours ("My film idea is like a cross between Scream and Contagion"):

my film idea is like a cross between a lot of different horror story

5) What is your narrative/storyline? Write a short paragraph that explains what happens in your film:

A group of friends find the perfect house (which was a small family who was slaughtered and the killer was never found) for haunted games being too careless to see the "danger sign".So they play there games and start to explore and once they see the  faint shadow of a body with a knife they get scared and try to run but the car had been damaged

Newspapers: Essay question

‘Different newspapers address their audiences differently.’

How far is this true of The Times and the Daily Mirror (Close Study Products)?

This is undoubtedly true the way the Times and Daily Mirror address their audiences. This can be seen in their construction, selection and presentation of news and the political perspectives they address towards their audience.

In the Daily Mirror we can see lot of images and splash head , we also see very less writing.the Daily Mirror has a san serif text which could show us it is moving with the times and is trying to be more modern and it not very formal. we can See that in that they are a red top news paper which can see by there reader. On the other hand In The Times news paper we can see fewer images in the front cover and more heavy text .the Times has a serif fount shows us that it is more traditional and formal

Furthermore,we can also see a difference in the subject and the way that they write for example in The Daily Mirror we can see lots of soft news like entertainment, gossip, celebrity. This can be seen in the Bond stars picture story on the front page and the way size and presentation of the Royal Family story ,also in the left side we can see a wetherer report and some games that the reader can play on there way to work eg on the Consequently, in the Times they focus on hard news like  politics, economics, international. like the story"Criminal enquiry story on front of Times - major politics story about a security leak at the top of government." which could be important to many worker from the middle of upper middle class .

They're both talking about the royal family in different way like
The Daily Mirrior uses there first names "Wills and Harry" which will normalise them to there target audience On the other hand The Times News paper are talking in a much formal way  Refer to Royals using titles - Duke and Duchess

lastley we can see that The Times writes about private  school in a positive way which would reflection on the reader because they are most likely to send their students to these private school. in The Daily Mirrior we can see one of the main story are "no mmr jab no school" and the slogon "we are fighting for you " show the deaddecation of   the writer and most of ther people reading this newspaper send their kids to state schools

In conclusion, both newspapers address their audiences differently and that can be based on many different piont but the statement is true

we can see a difference in the layout and design in both news paper for examples:
